Luke try to give light in a basic place : what should I do to play better ? Where is the place to look ? Right hand, left hand, body, guitar... I think the goal is complex. When you look guitarists like Metheny, Frisell, Paco de Lucia, Rory Gallagher, Steve Howe, John Stowell, classical guitarists... you see what I mean. They all have their own solutions. These are relatively different and sometimes opposite. Luke explains that. For a beginner, I think it's really difficult and quite impossible to check all these aspects. And finally, there is no other solution for him than to follow the way. First, to enjoy the life, the music and to play. To accept imperfection and progressively to analyze the situation from different angles.This book it contains essentially words (and just a few basic exercices).

A simple line could sometimes have great value. So my evaluation is not very significant. For a beginner, a good teacher seems the best solution to check all these aspects. But it's not always the shorter way that's the best for some people. Some guys prefer to fight and win alone. It's also very nice. For them Luke’s work is valuable !
I recommend « Zen guitar » for « how to follow your way in music » and Andrew Greene books for «real music gold mine».
